2. I have a 10,000 RPM raptor drive so mines faster than yours....

I have been using Linux for quite a long time now if your unaware.
I do have a mac and windows pc so I can deal with files that operating system specfic but don't even use them as much my
Linux Boxes. I mainly use those PCs as desktop file dumps all I do is hide the desktop icons unless you want to see hundreds of files that I dump on them just for storage.

RAM is not determined by amount only. Theres the RAM frequencies and timings/latencies which mine is at 1000mhz(500) at 4-4-4-10.
