|
|
| I have been sticking to a PX6600 display card for almost two years, and I am considering to get an upgrade. I expect to get a mid-range card because of the lack of funds, and I need it mainly for gaming (not intensive like Crysis). I heard that the GeForce 9 series is going to be released in the month, so I am wondering if I should get one of those 9600 or just buy the current available models. Opinions are welcome.

Not in a month. In 11-13 days (for the 9600GT).
It is probably going to take the crown for the best price/performance trade off, at around $140-$170 (which is mid-range).
The 9600GT should run Crysis decently at high settings if you have a lower resolution (19" or lower).

True that; but if you want to buy a card now, buy the 512MB ATi Radeon 2600 XT HD.
