im really confused at programming, yeah i know ima big noob at it but id rather give it a shot then being a leecher for my life.. anyways, i really dont know what anything is in delphi.. i got a cracked version of delphi 7. and when i try some tuts it gives me some var: shit and like b=nt2j stuff like that which i have no idea what it means, and dont know how that will ever help me when im trying to make a program myself. is there any tut that can help with this? i dont really know much about delphi either so... if there is a tut or anything that helps out on what everything is and when you use them, would you mind posting? thanks +rep for useful link.

Are you on Vista? If so make sure you are running things as Administrator.

After some Google searches I found some info, there are two things, that I have found, that can cause this issue:

- madC Collection from Madshi
- ZoneAlarm

Firstly, madC was mostly to madExempt if you have that installed you should try uninstalling it and seeing if it works afterward.

Second, ZoneAlarm, new version, when installed apparently blocks access to Borland so try adjusting the settings if you have this installed as well.

I'm not sure, I don't use ZoneAlarm myself. Just the post I read about this issue said that ZoneAlarm was the reason that it happened and that after adjusting the settings the person got it to work. I would assume it's blocking the Borland IDE from launching anything so see if theres a blacklist in ZoneAlarms settings and locate if Borland is on that list.

Check out this bug report:

As I said, GameGuard.

GameGuard doesn't let to the IDE to run a program and debug it.
