1991 posts, and you don't know what a pointer is?

Do the tutorial part about pointers again.
Pointers are used to get static adresses for DMA.

Of course Monkeys, You do realize about 80 maybe even 90% of the members here do not know how to defeat DMA or Code shifting.
Not to mention do injections or write AA scripts.
Just doing basic scans for address's. Now take it there are other learning/wanting to learn and will pass those up in the knowledge.

Negima:
You can also defeat it very simply by finding what write/read/or access's the address you found.
Then you can do an AA script to take care of the problem.
Chances are the same instruction is called at the same address.
The only difference would be if there was a code shift then you would get a change in the address for the instruction called.

Yeah I did, but having such an activity (1991 posts) and not knowing the (IMO) easiest DMA-solver, is quite an extravaganza to me... ^^

One of my biggest problems with this forum is exactly what you said, Lab. The vast majority here are leechers, and have no intention of learning anything. I'm not claiming to be an expert on this, but I do know how to defeat DMA and have defeated code shifting in a few games, and can write some AA scripts. It just irritates me the sheer number of people that have low post totals that come here asking for people to make hacks for them and then they are gone.

Now if you are seriously trying to learn, then I suggest doing the tutorials. You don't seem to have any problems with the English language, so I'm gonna guess that the problem is not that you couldn't understand it due to that. If you can find your address, then right click it, and find out what writes to it. This is the most common method, but finding out what accesses it will tell you what reads/writes to it, and in some cases be the easiest method of finding a pointer. Once you do that, you go back to the game and do something. For example, if you are trying to find a static pointer for health, then get hit or heal some health, then go back and see what, if any, addresses show up. Double click the address to bring up the more info window, and see if there is a pointer, and search for it in hex in 4-byte. If you get any results in your list in green, then you have found a static pointer. I fnot, looks like a multilevel pointer. In that case...do the tutorial. Wink
