What's the deal with OEM's selling SLI'd midrange cards lately? Far less performance compared to a comparably priced single card, more heat, more power consumption, noise, slots used on board. There's absolutely no reason for it.

Anyway, I would go for the setup madman listed, except I've had very bad experience with ECS boards and I'd recommend this one instead:
