The link you provided is not for VB6, but for VB.NET, please read before posting..

@pepsi:
http://pscode.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?txtCodeId=6891&lngWId=1

You will need to subclass the menu to alter what is shown on it. The link I provided will show you how to use different fonts, mousemove colors, and a few other things. Hope it helps.

He did visit your link, I think you edited you post the same time he visited the link so maybe that's why he thought it was vb.net

Unless it's a custom component, it's the default menu. All he is using is checks which you can do with the normal menu system.

To use checks, you can something like this:
In the menu system, make one menu with 1 subitem. Like this:

File
-----Option1

File should be:
Caption: File
Name: mnuFile

Option1 should be:
Caption: Option1
Name: mnuFile_Option1
(Should be intended to the right to signify a subitem for the menu its under.)

Then for the code you can do:

Code:
Private Sub mnuFile_Option1_Click()
    mnuFile_Option1.Checked = Not mnuFile_Option1.Checked
    If mnuFile_Option1.Checked = True Then
        MsgBox "Checked, enable code here."
    Else
        MsgBox "Unchecked, disable code here."
    End If
End Sub

Common Dialog = Project -> Components -> Microsoft Common Dialog Control 6.0.
