I want to make a visual basic program that will Compile batch code into a batch file.(you click a button, and it compiles out onto the desktop or something).

How would i do this in visual basic?(Code or outside links appreciated.)

You're not really compiling anything, you're just saving a text file as .bat

You could use the Open "C:\Blah.bat" and all that jazz and write the code from a textbox, or whatever you're using into the .bat file.

Yea i guess I'm a bit of a spammer... lol
Specially since I'm new to this forums and exited to start posting everywhere...

Anyhow.. The function i guess will be a simple text editor that saves to *.bat

Thanks but can you explain

Open "txt.txt" For Output As #1
and
Write #1,

does that create a text file called txt, or does it literally open it.

And the write statement does what?

Write (Output), Message

Basically just writes something in the file
As for the opening for output, it just opens the file for any editting
The Close (Output) at the end just closes the opened file
