Okay so i got my Vmware installed and everything; all im missing is the OS installation. I even torrented the Windows XP setup and everything. Im jus missing how to install the OS onto VMware. Do I have to burn it onto a CD before i can set it up or can i jus browse through my files and locate the setup.exe for WINXP. A clear answer is appreciated.

the windows xp torrent you downloaded should be in iso format, yes? if it is just load it as an image in vmware and boot up your virtual machine.

Go to the cd-rom settings in your VM, set it to use image, and set your ISO file. It should then read the image as if it were a disc in the drive.

What above 2 said or u can set vmware to detect your physical cd/dvd rom
