Ok well im thinking of reformatting my laptop.

So i figured i would need the all the drivers so

I dled pretty much all the ones from here

Btw i have put all the DLs on an external hard drive and not a dvd so will it still work?

And as for the windows pack i DLed this Microsoft.Windows.XP.PRO.SP2.DECEMBER.SLIPSTREAMED-SKi.torrent

Its a iso file so i exract it with magic iso then do i just burn it to a CD and boot CD?

Yes burn to cd and boot from cd, my guess is that the drivers will still work on a external harddrive, as long as you can connect it to your laptop

Maybe your windows setup file might be damaged.. Completely reformat and then try reinstalling it. if not you could take the risk?

you should have gotten a windows disc or a recovery disc when you bought your computer. go find it.

just to be sure go into ur BIOS and make the boot settings First:CD/DVD drive Second:Hard Drive Third:Removable Hard Drives
