Yes. The intel doc I have seems to plainly state that A20 must be off because vmx blocks all A20 interrupts which is contridictory to what seems to be the behavior you are seeing and what the ppt slides indicate.
I ran the other dbvm and tried to post results but the forum crashed, again. Seems to do that a lot. I'll post back or edit this post with dbvm04m results.
EDIT
DBVM04M boot on e6600 (dual core 2 duo), Vista64 with 2gig ram.
Well I'll be. Looks like it was A20 being in state 0 off the whole time. I noticed that you changed A20 to state 1 in this build.
Vista 64 booted just fine.
Did you have any luck with the 4gig+ system ram issue? Just wondering if I can put my ram back now.

yes, happens a lot arround this time. Most users are on starting this time, during from 3 to 4 hours. May have to upgrade (But the flood protection, the message that you're banned, works good enough, it effectivly frees up memory and cpu usage and speeds up the time the forum becomes repsonsive again)

Will you be maintaining a cvs tree for DBVM in the same manner as CE or do you plan to keep DBVM closed source?

ah, good to hear it worked.
And yes, I'll eventually put it in a cvs/snv tree. But I first need to clean it up a bit, last time I showed the code to someone he scratched out his eyes and is in a mental institution right now.
Also, i'm uploading a copy of cheatenginelazarus, (it's old and I havn't touched it in months due to the 5.4 release)
It's 64-bit and compiles with th free lazarus compiler and lets you test stuff and play arround with it. (scanning is still 32-bit, but I think I did already fix memview for 64-bit)
so check back here soon
also, if you heard the 'argument' before that delphi is bad because it makes 'big' exe files (350KB+) then I wonder what they say about lazarus. (20MB+ exe's...)

Glad I was able to provide beta tester support. How do I go about checking that the extensions are indeed active? I don't see anything obvious in CE 5.4 to indicate it's on or off. Although, I am now able to get "Enumerate DLL's and Symbols" to actually do something now. Is there another way to check or is that good enough?

well, in vista-64 you won't notice much with ce 5.4, since there's no support driver, or even support from usermode there's nothing even accessing dbvm (only accessed in settings->extra, but if I didn't mess up there everything should be disabled this version)
But in 32-bit when you use kernelmode debugging you'll notice it. (or actually, won't notice, that it's not editing the interrupt table)
but when ce 6.0 comes out (based on lazarus) it'll be more usefull (especially loading of unsigned driver and hooking the idt in 64-bit)

I did do a small fix so it marks regions that touch 4GB or higher as invalid, so should pick a earlier region to attach to.
