Kaspersky.
McAfee.
BitDefender.
Nod32.
eSafe.
eTrust Antivirus.
Dr. Web.
Panda Titanium Software.
Sophos AV.

Pick any, all of 'em are good.

Avast is freeware, which basically means there's something wrong w/ it. Out of all those, I like Kaspersky the most.

There is a paid version too..

Well u need a Anti-Virus i suggest Avast..

Then u need Ad-aware or another pogram like that

And a good firewall would be Zone-Alarm

Avast and Kaspersky are both worst shit I've evr used, Norton is bad too.
get nod32 or AVG.
Make sure you get some more stuff too...
I have AVG, AVG anti rootkit, zonalarm[firewall], spybot search n destroy, hijackthis, IOBIT smart defrag and ccleaner.
Best mixture for keeping the computer fast clean and spyware free.

Far from it.
@ Thread Starter: I recommend Avira or Kaspersky.
@ cheatz0r: You probably haven't seen AVG and NOD32's poor detection and user-virus submission.

You don't need another anti-spyware if you get a good anti-virus, and Windows' firewall will do the job.

Kaspersky is good, but a lot of people I know that use it complain that it isnt as easy to get used to as some of the others. I never liked Norton much, and Mcafee wasnt my favorite either. So far, I've had no problems with Kaspersky

When I had windows, I used Nod32. Kept viruses out, and it was user-friendly.

I recommend it, but you can try other anti-viruses.
