I hate to say it, but VB will probably get you further in the industry, if that's where you're heading.

Otherwise, do Delphi.

VB6 (that's what he means by VB, otherwise he would have said VB.NET) will get you nowhere in the industry.

Yeah, screw VB6.

Go Delphi.

well i use Borland Delphi 7. I think Vb6 is probably better to stick with then switch over to delphi. I don't use delphi that much and when i do its only for special things that are really hard to do in Vb6 or C#.

honestly i would switch over to Visual C# 2008.

visual C# 2008 is your best way into programming for a living imo

for CE related stuff such as trainers I guess delphi would be nice since CE is written in delphi

VB6 is also out-dated and Microsoft has dropped it from their support and such since VB.NET came out. It is still used by some people but most have made the switch to .NET or moved into a different language.

Although C# is widely used in the industry today, it isn't the most used by far. C/C++ is still the top used language which will take you the furthest if anything. C# is used in certain fields while you will see C/C++ anywhere.
