Vista sucks, there will be no "in the future when it's fixed etc etc" it's a flawed OS from the ground up, beyond repair. The general public hates it, it's selling terribly and has a worse rep than ME, time for you Vista supporters to face the fact, it's already dying.
Now back on topic, it's a decent system, except for the video card is kinda crappy, shoulda went for the 8800gt. My shitty x1950pro will completely rape your 8600, even more so once I get my waterblock and OC it

Whoever has DDR3 qualifies as the biggest dumbass in CEF I think is what you meant. DDR3 has no place in any machine right now.
Higher frequency that can't be utilized by even a heavily overclocked CPU so no benefit there, but far poorer latencies than DDR2 coupled with an insanely inflated price tag makes for a very bad buy.
