1. My Ipod USB (Which is fine, it worked before I left home) won't read on the computer i'm currently using. I tried on all 3 USB sockets and none work.
2. When I DID get a connection (It did on the first day, then it didn't anymore), my Ipod would flash white for a second, then not work. It would keep repeating this, too.
Any help? |
Not to start a flame war, but why do people still buy iPods when it's a known fact that they break like crazy. Why spend more for something that is of poor quality?
You can try a different cable, that may be your problem, but not likely. |
I'm not a big fan of Apple myself. I figured i'd get one since they were on sale, etc etc.

Probably a 30gig, since it's near Christmas, I might as well get one then.

Ok. Get a white union, 2 bottles of gatorade, and a pitcher.
Pour the gatorade into the pitcher, and put the union inside, and wait 1 hour and a half. After, take the union out, and plug the USB into the union, while the iPod is already plugged in. It should start charging. When the energy runs out, then unplug the iPod, and done! This will solve the charging problem until u find out what's wrong.

Urban myth. Even if you could get that setup to output the full 5v the iPod would need, you would need complex regulation circuitry in between your makeshift battery and the iPod to make it stable enough for usage. Though I highly doubt you could get any significant power output from such a thing anyway.
Actually, I'm completely over-analyzing this, the onion and gatorade thing is just a flat out lie.

It's called Sarcasm, all that does is ruin your usb cable. You can see that the rest of their videos are lies. Powering a TV with a Single AA 1.5Volt Battery is a complete lie.

The majority of youtube viewers are idiots. Even if that setup would output any sort of power, it would not be stable or even the correct voltage you need to charge an iPod. The reason it got so many views is because of the ignorance of the general public, there's tons of videos like that that are complete lies from sadistic people with too much time on their hands.
Pouring a bunch of shit into a bowl and ramming a usb cable into it doesn't sound very precise does it?

Wierdest thing happened.
I unplugged it last night and let it sit, and when I put it in today, it worked.

So is this topic, so stop fucking bumping. But it wasn't good enough for you to just bump it, you had to make sure it wasn't anything remotely useful or relevant to the topic.
