Sometimes when i run the game everything turns bigger (my windows view) and then the game freezes so i have to do start buttons>turn off computer>restart to fix the big ness....is this cuz my comp is crap or is it a bug or something

It's changing the resolution for the game, then once it freezes it doesn't change back. If it doesn't close, try ending the process through the task manager.

i know the resoulution goes big,but SOMETIMEs it doesnt load the resolution stays and the window frezes and task manager dont come up when i do ctrlaltdelete and then i have to goto start>turn off computer

the actual game doesnt need to load for it to change the resolution, its probably just an error that occasionally happens from something unknown.
and if you wait long enough it should unfreeze enough to use the task manager

Quake II tends to freeze sometimes, especially on my school's sucky PCs where I play from my USB memory stick.
At home it works much better but freezes every now and then. I think there's no perfect cure for that.
Oh, and I use Quake2MaX.
