Cheat Engine

[RazZ91]

1. Create a 2px x 2px, transparent Photoshop file
2. Zoom way in and make this a checkboard. The top left pixel should be black as well as the bottom right pixel.
3. Select All
4. Edit -> Define Pattern -> Name pattern whatever you want.
5. Close this file, you' re now done with it.

6. Put the two images you want to use in one Photoshop file (separate layers). For the main picture, it is best to use a photo that is broken up, like flowers, rocks, bricks, plants, etc. Basically trying to hide the lines of the image that will be hidden. Similar to a zebra' s stripes breaking it' s own outline up when in long grass.
7. Create a new layer and fill this layer with your pattern. Edit -> Fill -> Use Pattern -> Find your pattern
8. While holding Ctrl, click on that new layer. This will select anything in the layer.
9. Using that selection, delete from the image you' d like to hide.
10. Inverse the selection and delete that selection from the main image which will be showing.

From there, it is a matter of trying to disguise the hidden layer. The best way to do this is to first drop the opacity of the layer. I used 17%, but I think it all depends on the pictures you use. Then grab a color from the main image using the eye dropper, and fill a layer beneath everything with it. Darker colors seem to work better. This gives the hidden picture a tint of that color (since that layer is mostly transparent) and helps blend it in. This is actually the most important step.

Try playing with contrast and curves, this might help as well.
