Fair enough. I was just pointing out that I think I know more when it comes to video cards, CPUs, motherboards and RAM. Now I'm sure that you know more then me when it comes to other stuff, like Delphi
  . Anyway. |

I'm an hardware expert, nothing much i can tell.

Alright, but it looks like you rather respond to threads that are not hardware related and when you do, you don't provide a lot of help, unlike me. But hey, I don't know you in real life so maybe you are (not), and that's why I think I won't post in this thread anymore.

				| a laptop does not magically get "jammed" unless maybe you wear pants made out of dust and dirt and keep it on your lap 24/7 or something ridiculous.
laptop hardware is obviously slower than it's desktop counterparts, as they have more heat and space issue to be dealt with.

but here's the kicker: EVER THINK THEY ARE MEANT TO CATER TO ANOTHER CROWD? maybe somebody travels a lot, but they enjoy games, if they shell the cash, they aren't going to have mysteriously abysmal performance just because it's a laptop. people other than just your typical 'suits' use them.

you pretty much know zilch, kaspersky.

				| Gwad, that's somewhat like switching off your main power switch then on again(force reboot). | |

So is it bad turning it off this way rather than going to start shut down or by making it go into standby?

Yes, don't ever do that unless you have to. If there's anything in the hard drive's cache it will be lost, which will lead to data loss and corruption eventually.

No you didn't. The motherboard doesn't give a rat's ass how you shut it off, it's the hard drive that cares. On the old DOS machines you would do a hard reboot, you think they replaced the motherboards everytime it was power-cycled?
