Hello goldengold,
My name is Jim Losi, I am one of the developer/trainers at Learnvisualstudio.net. I'm glad you have an interest in our site and our material and I hope I can provide some feedback to you. Of course I am biased as an employee and recorder of said videos but I can assure you that our videos are of the highest quality and we are always adding new content. We recently released about 6 videos on ASP.NET AJAX and 10+ videos on silverlight. We cover both languages in our videos so it's not just one thing at a time; you get to see them both in action in one video.

Over the past 11 months we've come close to releasing 100+ videos for your viewing pleasure and we are also having our Fall SALE @ 30% off.. If you can find anyone that beats that price, I'd like to know Wink If you go with a lifetime membership, you'll have access to our forums (where I live on a daily basis) which has tons of information and 12 extra videos currently that are part of my out of band releases which I call my "Brown Bag" videos. These are only available to lifers.

Lastly, we have a 30 day money back guarantee. So, if you're not happy, you can get your cash back.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me Smile

-Jim

Not to be a dick, but anything you find on that site can be found, for free, with some googling. Don't waste your money to learn common knowledge things that can be learned for free. You might not find it as a vid, but you wont waste money on stuff you can learn for free. Wink

No offense taken. However, some people learn in different ways. While some learn best by reading, we've discovered that a majority also like to learn by video. Granted it's not for everyone and yes, you can find many tutorials on the net. The one's we did for free for Microsoft (which are on their _learning_ pages) we also have on our site primarily because we made them and it that was the deal we made with MS.

Personally, I've watched all of the AJAX videos by Joel and they left a lot to be desired with regards to how the API works. The focus was mostly on the server side controls. My series, for instance, goes into the scripting portion of it first before the server side controls are really touched. So we take a different approach to how ms puts out their learning videos. They are more focused on the RAD, we are focused on teaching.

Aside from the videos, with a LifeTime membership you get access to our support forum which is dedicated to .NET. I have other free videos, controls and utilities there for lifers as well; and for 140.00 you don't have to waste as much time googling for the answers. That's not to say that you won't search at all in the course of ones experience with learning .NET, but our videos are right there for you. Also, we're not article driven and a lot of the material out there is an article format that isn't set up in a lesson format which is where we're heading all of our new videos. For instance, my ADO.NET 2.0 series was setup for training for the MS Cert. So, IMO we offer more value than just an article. Yes, it costs money, but if you don't like it, you have 30 days to get your money back.

Regards.
