the bush administration is no longer significant, he along with his cabinet are basically lame ducks at this point. he's an idiot, yes everyone knows..stop saying that to give false impressions of political intelligence Rolling Eyes

but if you really do believe in that loose change bullshit, then support Ron Paul, who is for the removal of the CIA (the people who you think are hiding everything from you).

Responding to this under request, sorry for the bump.

the united states gets something like 25% of their uranium from canada, and will probably remain that way until it is depleted because canada claims to have no future intentions of developing any. also, this is thread was aimed at intelligent discussion, not ludicrous "what ifs" so please take that shit elsewhere.

No, Canada controls about 25% of the worlds uranium production. Please read your random google searches more thoroughly next time. Wink

Not to mention Canada has no plans to develop it for nuclear bombs. Nuclear power on the other hand is on the rise.

As for the "what ifs". I am just showing you how precarious America's balance on its own pedestal of power is.

anyways i agree with you that there is a problem with the the way the US is being run, notably the aggressive foreign policy...but it's futile for us to continue until you get out of your shallow anti-american cesspool and read up on some candidates who do offer change and new plans to shape the US. just because you don't live in the US doesn't mean this election doesn't directly affect you Wink

I am not in a "shallow anti-american cesspool". I do keep tract of all of the candidates, and just because I don't verbilize my choice to you does not mean I don't have one. Assuming otherwise would be ignorant.

Now we can let this topic die. Smile

Stephen Colbert didn't make it to the ballot... but if he had....
Hilary Clinton then; we all know Bill Clinton will be the real person in charge once more.

no idea what it supplies to the rest of the orldw, but it only supplies the US with something like 25%. our discussion was regarding your "what if canada stopped producing uranium for the US" not the world.

p.s i wasn't random google searching, i knew this previously..but if you want a source ill dig one up.

appalsap was speaking in the present, the US is the strongest world power at this point, regardless of what happens in the future (it looks grim at this point)

http://canada.usembassy.gov/content/textonly.asp?section=can_usa&subsection1=energy&document=energy_simons_102805

Quote:
. Overall, of course, Canada provides over 15% of net U.S. oil imports, over 90% of net U.S. natural gas imports, and 89% of net electricity imports. Canada also provides 27% of uranium used in U.S. power plants, a trade that is also likely to grow given strong U.S. support for nuclear, and its many clean air benefits.

The key word there is "power plants". I am willing to bet the percentage is far higher for the nukes themselves.

Just because I mentioned stephen colbert doesn't mean I get all my info from comedy central. He had good ideas. Don't deem me ignorant because I liked someone who plays an idiot on television.
