Well i havent thought about building my own computer because im not trying to have an UBER LEET one. My friend uses a gateway (yeah a gateway) and it runs fine for both XBOX live, WOW and counter-strike, but i don't want a Gateway =P, thats why i was thinking of just getting a dell. Obviously they are garbage from what the CEF members say lol. I'm just looking to buy an overall better computer.
Edit: Im using an hp pavilion a430n straight from the store right now.

Actually i am going to buy a laptop for Christmas (With my own money, I is not rich and/ or spoiled) and i was wondering how should i make it. Keep in mind that i have a budget of $1,100-$1,200 and i would need to pay someone to put the computer together. So, What should i buy? I just want one with sexy graphics and no lag at all. AT ALL. Memory..Memory's nice too.

duhh its just good speed for a labtop the gfx are alright but they screen flashes in games

Actually those Compaq notebooks are really nice. My friend has one, it works well.
