Cheat Engine

Okay, heres my scenario. I was trying to download a torrent and it turned out it didnt work or something, so i deleted it. Then my computer internet started getting really slow, and when i played cs 1.6, i got 10 seconds spikes here and there. Sometimes shorter.

So i ran some tests from Norton 2007 and my friend told me to delete my temp and cookie files from ie and mozilla. And it worked!

SO... i decided to attempt the torrent again but it was too slow again so i stopped, did everything i did last time, and deleted all the torrents, and now im lagging again. I tried Norton, Windows Defender, Spybot, and still nothing. Please help im using a direct network through linksys and no, no one in my network isnt dling anything unless my neighbor is leeching off of me.. +Rep or something for all your help if you can help me ^^

Is there anybody else in your house using the internet?

They don't have to be "downloading" anything to slow you down.

delete some files, program in your computer that are useless.

after deleting files and uninstalling unneeded applications, run disk cleanup wizard and then after that run disk defragment

if it is still slow at that point, i'd do a system restore to a point where you're computer wasnt running slow, because its probably a virus
