You going to get GH III? If so for what system!?
Or if you're going to get Rock Band, what instrument you going to play?

GH III is for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC, Mac.
Rock Band is for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2.
Too bad I don't have a PS2, PS3, or XBOX 360. =.= Wii is way cooler for this type of game but they refuse to put Rock Band on it.

| Instead of learning how to play Guitar Hero III, how about learning how to play a real guitar?

That would take away the purpose of the game.
Also, when you play a guitar, you most likely will suck at it for a few months, meaning its not fun, and you bother people around you. With the game its more fun, and you dont have to waste your time learning how to play a stupid guitar that you will never touch after you get out of school.

You can make some money playing a real guitar and maybe impress your friends, but if you play Guitar Hero, you will be hated for getting the high score.

But what you said is just like saying, why buy Halo 3, just get a guitar. It's video game vs reality.

What I'm trying to say is instead of playing Halo 3 with your XBOX 360, play Halo 3 with real guns.

Ok, I want you to answer this truthfully.
-How many kids think that when they grow up, they are going to be some really famous rocker that everyone likes?
-How many of those kids are actually good at what they do? [By good I mean make their own stuff, not just play some song thats been played before]
and,
-How many of them actually get to be famous rockers?
Theres like a low percentage of actually becoming a famous rocker. The rest that stay with the thought of being famous end up being some crappy garage band with a bunch of highschool dropouts.
Or they just give up with the whole thing and get into a different field of work.

-How many kids think that when they grow up, they are going to be some really famous rocker that everyone likes?
Probably 2.1 % of all the kids in the world.
-How many of those kids are actually good at what they do? [By good I mean make their own stuff, not just play some song thats been played before]
Probably 50% of the world.
and,
-How many of them actually get to be famous rockers?
That would be (1.96 ^ -99)%, there are that many great rock stars anymore.

Guitar Hero is kinda childish, there is only about 6 buttons on the whole controller for the game. And there is not much action.

Why wont anyone answer my fucking questions. Also, HornyAZNBoy, Guitar Hero is fun because you get to escape from reality for a while and pretend you're a rock star. Halo 3 is an extreme escape from reality. You're in space. What more do I have to tell you....

Same with DDR. But I play violin and when I strum it like a guitar with a pick, it's easy.... So how much harder can it be? Plus if all the finger positions are marked by frets. Also, GH III seems like it can help you somewhat, moving your fingers really fast to play a riff is probably beneficial to real guitar playing.
