hey Dark i need some help plz im using windows Vista basic and Sora engine 2.3 every time i run a ct on sora engine my laptop restarts and i am running the CE with the administrator access any advice on what i should do ? ... one more thing i want to ask is on my other comp i got XP wen i run the CE with the game i try to scan to look for addresses i get an error saying :
Error while scanning no readable memory found in the region you specified!
any clues on how i can fix this problem? thanx in advance for the help.

| l0l yea i missed that thanx flyte but wat about my other problem the error i get everytime i run a new scan with the game open? do u have any idea on how to solve it ?

Vista has a retarded program installed in it that doesn't allow you to read/write bytes to other processes if you don't have a higher privilage level than that process.

sorry flyte u probably misunderstood me i was talking about my other pc which im running windows XP on it im using CE Sora engine 2.3 i got a ct thats working with it wen im runing the game , but the problem is that wen i go to do a first scan i get an error msg saying :
Error while scanning:No readable memory found in the region you specified!
i tried to do few things like change the value types the scan type the different bits seems like nothing is working ... this game got the latest GG so i dont know if thats the problem even tho its already runing a ct that works fine, any help u can offer? i know im geting of the subject but im not sure were to post this question and get help on it

I use Vista and i like it.... >.> Ive never had a problem with it, i prefer it to XP, lol xD

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32bit and I just run CE 5.3, without any problems.
Can create trainers, attach to processes and everything else

no, unless you run windows on your mac and run ce on that windows.
Also, regarding CE 5.4, the current cvs works a little better with vista (speedhack and debug registers work in both, and the processwatcher works in 32-bit only, obviously)

Vista sucks no matter how you look at it.
Dark Byte, how did you get debug registers and speed hack to work on Vista? Vista has a different kernel than XP.

I havn't tested debug regs yet, but I did manage to load the driver in vista 32, (had to make a small adjustment to eventnames for the processwatcher) and theoretically this should still work the same (idt edit to kernel routine, and handle it there in low level)
speedhack was pretty simple, the problem is that vista uses dynamic addresses, so I had to use the same method as the rest of ce for finding the functions to call, modulename+offset
