well if your new, get ubuntu. Its very simple to makerz it your OS. xD also its more userfriendly then some.
I heard Gentoo is KICK ASS. But its not for people who are beginners.
I stick with Ubuntu and Windows xD.
Anyways, you can either order a CD (takes up to a month) or you can download teh .iso and use NERO or imgburn or something to burn it onto the CD
