What exactly are you trying to protect from the AV?
What language are you main the exec. in?
If it's not actually your program, try WinRar.

If you don't password protect it, most AV's will peek inside rar's and zip's (and those likes)
I think he means how to pack it... But hell I'm guessing if he doesn't know how to do that, then he didn't make it.

Even packing it would be useless because the packer itself would be detected as malicious.

If you use a commercial packet, then yes, it probably would be. Though it's plenty easy to make a packer and make one that isn't detected.

i suppose your thinking would get around the antivirus, but a good firewall will stop whatever CODE your program runs, which has no net effect no matter how you pack it.

Ahh, but if you evade immediate av protection - you have the chance to disable the av and firewall.
If your detected prior to execution - you have no chance to do anything.
