Hello! I'm new to this forum. I have a question which I searched and searched for and cannot find an answer anywhere. How do you find the collision address in a game. I wanna be able to find the correct address to NOP to allow wall hack. I've seen this done so many times on many games, mostly GunZ Online. I've read tutorials for wall hacking on other sites, but they only explain how to open a debugger or memory editor and how to NOP the address they've already found, rather then how to extract that address in the first place. I know this may be a noobish question but I would really appreciate help, thank you for reading. |

Well it depends...
The general method should be the same but finding it can be different depending on the game.
Also, what type of wallhack do you want?
Do you want only your bullets to pass through walls, or also your character?
Or maybe just your character?

Thank you for the quick replies, I want the figure mesh to be able to bypass the collision point of the wall. Just the character. How would I go about extracting the memory address so I can fill it with No Operation? |

Well...
Do you know if the game has both Character and World collision or just world collision?
Because if it is both you might have to have to find both collision instances.
Not all games use just those two collision types, but they are most common.
Also, what game is it?
It is not necessary to know, but it usually helps. _________________

I beleive it's just world but I may be wrong. The game is:
// Can't post urls =(
outspark DOT com [Fiesta Online]
It's new and in beta and i've developed a trainer for other exploits such as jump hack or fly hack [looping jump function multiple times causing character to go higher and higher] and many other tricks. This game is pretty glitchy and easy to mess around with, no hack protection at all. Perhaps you may wanna check it out for yourself. Wall Hack would very useful, but I don't have the slightest clue about the methodology used to find that address I am searching for. |

Oh, that game.
Our version has a different name.
There is character collision too.
But when a player goes AFK [mushroom state], there doesn't seem to be any collision.
You can try to exploit that to your advantage so that it bypasses both collision types.
Method:
When you are not AFK, use an "Unknown Value" search.
Then go into the AFK state and search for "Changed Value".
Keep repeating this until you are down to a few addresses.
You will most likely have at least 10 addresses at the end.
[This is because not only is your collision state changing, but other variables too, like AFK state, texture, etc.]
Bring down all the addresses.
Now... This part is trial and error.
To narrow down the list, look in the list for variables that are solid numbers.
[That means numbers that are not decimal values or such.]
Now look for a number that is 1,2,3 or something small like that.
Why I say to do this is because usually developers will define some states by 0 for off, 1 for on.
For multiple variables it's usually 0 = no state, 1 = first state, 2 = second state, etc.
So try to look for addresses that change from 0,1,or,2 when you're not AFK.
Then try to lock them into the "off" state.
But like I said, that isn't always the case.
Some times 0 can = first state, and 192 = second state, and so on.
So if that does not work try trial and error.
At first, try to avoid any decimal numbers...
It could be one, but in this case it will probably be textures.
So try them last.
I do not know if this will work, I have not tried it.
But if it does, it should bypass both collision types.
Endmap collision should still be in place, if not then you will crash if you go past map's endpoint.
To test if it is still in place try this on a new account because your character will be stuck.
Also, if this doesn't work, tell me.
This is not the normal way of finding collision.

Thank you Toxic, that's a very well written tutorial for a great method. But unfortunately, 100,000 scans later, the outcome resulted in server disconnection and an unresponsive client. I would try it again but I don't beleive i'll ever reach 10 addresses, or even anywhere under the range of 10000. Is it possible to carry out the same method but decrease results?
Once again thank you for taking the time to write that method, i'm sure it works but i'm having some trouble. |
