First off I am completely new here to cheat engine

anyway. I saw on reddit that a guy used cheat engine to hack the exe in NASCAR Racing 2003 Season (which is a PC game for those who don't know). In NR2003, you are only allowed up to 42 ai drivers, but I would really like to up the limit to around 47 so more cars can race. he was able to use values in cheat engine to increase the limit to 47. I was wondering if any of y'all know a way to increase the limit using cheat engine

If you are not familiar with NR2003, then you probably already don't know

Set AIs to 30. Search for a byte containing 30.
Set AIs to 31. Rescan search for value 31.
Set AIs to 32. Rescan search for value 32.
Profit?

Yeah. I found a video that clearly explained what to do. I know what I'm looking for. I found it but once I try to change the value to 43 (which is the limit I'm trying to get to), it wont work. it stays at 42

Oh. In that case find out what's writing to that value. Try to find an instruction that's run only when you make it go over the limit. Click "Show Disassembler", right click on that instruction, and replace it with NOPs.

You might also be searching for the wrong byte. 2byte and 4byte can often have the same value, one that is just for show, on the screen, and the other is the actual value.

Try changing to 4byte and searching again like explained above.
