Have a budget of $1500
Wanting to use it for photos, documents, games, videos, movies, and music.
Can anyone help me out? It's for a parent.
I also am very serious about this finding a good build for her.

get at least an i5 processor and a top of the line nvdia graphics card, should be known already though.

CPU: 2600k
PSU: Corsair 850W
GPU: GTX 580 (any brand)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw or Corsair Vengeance or Corsair Dominator
Case: Your choice
CPU Cooler: If stationary, Noctua NH-D14 or Silver Arrow
If mobile, Corsair H100
Mobo: ASUS MAximus IV P67 (Or Z68 if you want an SSD for caching)
SSD: 60GB for boot or get a 32GB and an HDD if you're going with the Z68 and use the 32 for cache.
