Definitely not just a standard shooter.

Most games are still playing catch up with CoD4, and this surpasses it. Though it may not be the revolution like CoD4 was, it certainly is an evolution of it, and that alone makes it pretty good.

But I do agree with you, it won't be called GOTY by practically everybody like CoD4, but some gaming sites will probably still hand it out to them.

CoD:MW sold hit record on the first day. And i yet have to hear someone say it right to my face how bad the game was. Not to mention most of the sites rated it above 9.

What makes it different from every other shooter out there?

Now I'm not saying it's bad. I've played it, it is really fun, but it's still pretty standard. It's exactly what you expect it to be, CoD4 with more weapons and better graphics.
