How can I use 'Find What Accesses This Address' on a protected game? I'm trying but it give me an error : 'Cheat Engine failed to attach the process (Error=6)'.. Is there a way to fix it? How?

Not error 87? anyhow, try the kernel debugger (settings->extra)
fnd what accesses then wont ask to attach and just do it

sky i kept getting that 2. The way i fixed it was first of all, when you want to attach, go to process watch, and click maplestory.exe and click open process. Also make sure you are doing this before the "allow deny allow" part.

rebooting sounds like you're getting caught by nprotect.
when you enable the kernel debugger, do you get any error messages? (and are you using bypassed CE or anything to get by nprotect?)

the pointer scan either injects a DLL or uses some type of search to find the most likely pointer for the addy that you have.
a pointer stays the same every time you start a game/program on every machine... normal (dynamic) addresses change every time, so you have to re-search for them.
to find a pointer you take the addy you have XXXXXXXX and add the offset of the program XXXXXXXX + 0000xxxx (usually small number) and then search for that in the 4bye in hex.... The Pointer Scan in CE automates this process and helps to find the pointer very quickly (injected method)

Ahh.. ty personmans. But the problem is that I dont know how to use Ce Pointer Scan.. I don't know if i'm doing something wrong or my computer is getting crazy.. I Go to pointer scan window, clickon 'Scan for Pointer' and put the address i want to find the pointer to; I did'n change any option on it.. I start the scan, but the nothing happens.. it stays all the day scanning but NOTHING happens.. Is it a very very very slowly pointer search engine or i'm doing something wrong?

Few things:
Are you using the newest CE? (www.cheatengine.org/weeklycompile)
Are you using the injected kind? (there are two types, injected is faster)
Is it a big process? (lots of numbers, takes longer to scan)-- cant fix this one
I'm not too fond of it, though it seems like a great idea, I never bothered learning it since finding pointers is already so easy in CE. I have used it a few times though just because the option was there =P It seemed to be rather quick for me.
