Hello, I am having a problem with dbk32.sys. I've already tried installing WITHOUT antiviruses, and when it comes to the dbk32.sys file, when I extract it the file dissapears. I've tried going to another computer, extracting the file, and going back to the main one with Cheat Engine and it still won't work. But I did rename the file extension, went back to the main computer, pasted it and renamed it back to .sys, and CE still has the "The driver won't open!" message.

If anyone could help, please do!

try uninstalling the anti virus. because sometimes even disabling it won't really disable it, but just hide it from you

Ah, I forgot to add this. When installing CE again, I get this error:

"An error occured while trying to rename a file in the destination directory. MoveFailed; code 2. The system cannot find the file specified."

That means "Something" deleted the file while it was being extracted out of the setup

Hm Apparently, I guess right >_< Do you know what could delete the file from the installtion file? Neutral Maybe it's something weird with this computer. Becuase also when I was extracting the dbk32.sys file, it is deleted when I check up on it, and it's ONLY this computer. On the other one, it dosent do anything.. Maybe I'll get the installer from there.

Anyways, thanks for your help =]

Only thing that deletes such a file is a overactive anti virus (e.g norton can't be disabled, even if you uninstall it, it stays) or a firewall that acts as a anti virus

OH =] That's the problem... Do you have any solutions for it? =| I'm stuck, becuase on the other computer, CE installs without a hitch. And I've tried renaming it to .htm and it still gets deleted -_-

update: AH nevermind, I got it to close.. Even though it didn't boot, Mcshield.exe was still running.

For anyone that uses mcafee or norton you can do this:

Start-> Run...-> type in "services.msc"

Mcafee:
Right click on the following and press Stop
-McAfee Framework
-Network Associates McSheild
and
-Network Associates Task Manager

Norton:
-Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect Service
-Symantec Event Manager
-SAVScan

Note: These are for the versions I have, yours may differ. Don't forget to Start them again after you install.

Have fun,
Personmans
