Cheat Engine

In the FindCode dialog when I select the code and click the Replace Button.
A error message popup...
Access Violation at address 00423433 in module 'cheatengine.exe'
Read of address 0000000E.
It just add code to codelist and not replae the code with NOP.
Anyway all other fuction seems OK.
What wrong with that error message?

what name did you give the entry ?

Thanks for your reply.
I recompile the source and run the tutorial,in STEP2,
when i found the address i want to change,right click,found what access this address,(click the hit me button), select the code line 2,
00457230 ... sub[ebx+00000310],eax
click the Replace button.
the error message popup.
But the modified CE still function with no problem and bypassed.
Do you have any idea what going wrong??

oh, you compiled it yourself.
is this the source downloadable from the site, or did you download it from the cvs ?

the source on the site has bugs but got fixed the day after the release, and the cvs may have new bugs
