I'm playing a game called Dark age of camelot and am trying to find ways to change my location using cheat engine. In-game to find your location you would type /loc and it would show up like this
x, y, height, direction ur facing
I can succesfully change the height and freeze myself at a specific height, but how would I go about changing my location so I can get a teleport effect. I search for the x coordinate as a float and get about 30 memories. I freeze all of them and everytime I near a building in-game, it seems as I am randomly teleported to some location 3,000 units away from the building. Any ideas?? I know it's hard considering many have ever even heard of the game :/

Also when I change the values for all the memories, nothing in-game happens, the value automatically restores to what it was previously

Scan for Unknown Initial Value, leave your map/location and search for a changed value. Repeat.

One thing I will say...is I wouldn't make a habit of just freezing a bunch of addresses. Lots of addresses need to change at certain intervals or when you do certain actions, etc. Freezing such an address would result in an undesired effect or a crash.

As for the values auto changing back to what they originally were..thats a display value...meaning its a memory addy witha value in it used to display on screen...say you have 1200 health...theres a memory addy witha 1200 value that is for nothing but showing on screen and nothing else.

Try searching for where you are....then move and repeat until you figure out the right one. Are you entering a building when it warps you, or jsut getting close to the building? Does soemthing happen when you get close to the building in game normally? If so that could throw it off with frozen values. If it was me, I'd try and find static addy's for x, y, and height,a nd direction, and make a generic trainer that allows you to poke whatever values you want into each all at the same time. Only real way to warp isnt it? I mean if you are at Coordinates(X,Y) 300, 400, height of 100,a nd facing 4 (north) All this is made up btw...and you change X to 1000, then all you do is stay facing the same direction, at coordinates 1000, 400. Basically just moving on one axis to a certain point. To get a real warp effect, you'd want to poke a value into all, or some addy's at the same time...say to warp some place far away..you'd need to do it like this. Try and fight some static addy's for all these directions and height first. Find out where you are...search...move a little..search again...find each one. You could even make a simple trainer using CE...just have a bunch of entries that poke values to all the places tyou want to be able to instantly go to.

As far as how to do it...are you sure the values are float? Try searching some other byte sizes, or even hex. Find an addy that changes your coord on screen and doenst auto go back to the previous value. Sorry, but i dont have the game... so All I can do is throw out ideas...

This should work you just are not following what he said correctly.

1. Stand in one spot.
2. Do unknown scan
3. Move just a bit in just a single direction if possible.
4. Scan for has changed
5. Stand still and do not move.
6. Scan for has not changed. *This is a important step to knock out several false address's not needed.
7. Go to Step 3.

Keep repeating those steps and you will find your location.
Keep in mind this could be a long drawn out process, but if you keep up and stay on track you will get to the address's.

having trouble
in game you type /loc and it says loc=26638,9127,5216 dir=247
what in that loc would I search for and which value type would it be?
I'm not having luck with the unchanged value..I get like 32 memories at the end and changing them does nothing and freezing them just makes the game crash

loc=26638,9127,5216 dir=247

x = 26638
y = 9127
z = 5216

247 is the direction your facing or it could be the angle.
if you change this one you could see everything sideways or upside down.
