Login server as always if it's an online game. You record the packets sent back and forth and copy it. You also need to find out how the server handles the information received from the packets and why the server sends the packet it does.
You copy whatever the server does. Whatever packets that are sent from the server to the client, your program must send. It's all about copying or "emulating" the server.
