Cheat Engine

Hi. I just started playing this game, its called voyagecenturyonline (wwwdotvoyagecenturyonlinedotcom) Its a 1 gig download so i dont expect anyone to download it. But I have a question. Whenever I look for a hack, such as godmode, all I can find is what it looks like I have. For example, I have 140 hp, I freeze the address, and when i get hit, it doesnt look like i get hit, but after being attacked for i while, i still die. So Im wondering what I did wrong. Heres exactly what I did.
1)I opened the game.
2)I attached Cheatengine (the game doesnt have any hack protection such as gameguard)
3)i login, chose server, blah blah blah
4)I search for my hp when its full (140)
5)I get hit, i search for decreased value
6)I only get around 10 addresses, so i find the one that shows my hp going up as i heal.
7)I add that to my cheat table.
8)I freeze it
9)I still die

If it helps, the address color was black
I also know how to find pointers and everything, i just want to know why I cant find the actual health address.
All help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

You possibly did nothing wrong at all. Except!

Instead of trusting the one address you seen with the health value try freezing one of the other address's you found. If it still does not work then the health is held server side, seeing how this is a MMO.

This is a great example of one address that shows the value, and is the display only. [health bar]
Now there very well could be another address that controls the real health, and that would be really awesome to find in this MMO,
The game looks very nice..BTW.

Thanks labyrnth. Well, honestly, I was really looking forward to having the ability to cheat with this. All I really wanted was infinite stamina, not even health. Oh well. Ill try what you said, but im pretty sure that theres only one address. I've also been messing around with the engine and game, and ive become even more comfused. Ive been using the "see what writes/reads/accesses this address" functions and I keep getting the same addresses. Ive written them down into groups to see if theres anything that can help me. Ive tried adding them to the main table and freezing them there, but that doesnt do anything. I cant remember what address and what function found it, but I went I i replaced it with a code that did nothing, and i thought that worked, because the health didnt go down in the game, but, i still died. So, basicly, my assumption is that this is a 100% server sided game? Please correct me if im wrong, and once again, any help will be appreciated.

Edit:I also forgot to mention, I went into mem view and did a search in the bottom portion with the addresses and their AOBS, and searched for the text health. It did manage to find an address, yet when added to the main cheat table, the value was always 0. None of the functions stated above brought any indication that it had influence on any of the other addresses I had found, or any addresses for that matter.

Look for other things then hp and sp or what ever, Try getting buffed by a friend if there are buffs, Then looking for the timer that makes it run out.
If you get it you can possibly freeze the buff and it will not wear off if your lucky:).

Alright, I'll try it, thanks for the info. I just recently looked for stamina this time, and 3 addresses came up instead of one. All of the values are the same as my stamina. Im testing it now to see if freezing all three will give me unlimited stamia, but I have my doubts. Ill spend maybe an hour or so more looking for more things, such as exp gained, items, etc, and I'll reply back soon. And if that doesnt work, then, well, Its either packet sending or playing legit :\
