Cheatengine can hack DOS games easily by using DOSBOX!
I've done it on 2 games.

DOSBOX is a DOS emulator that is actually better than MS-DOS!
It has loads of features like image capture and WAV recording!

dosbox.sourceforge.net

It just takes a little getting used 2,but it CAN run on NTFS partitions!
Unlike FreeDOS,it doesn't require a floppy!
