Kinda a yes/no question:
Is it possible to configure such a field that it behaves like it does in addresslist field w/ dropdown_choice ?
=> if no, I'll just manage via appropriate scipts.

notes:
1. collect & update are managed using lua scripts, so i can populate them lists.
2. itemIdx does not correspond with the stringlist_Idx; iow i can not use that one

yes, use style csDropDownList

populate the list before you show it with any strings you like and keep a list of what each string is supposed to be.

then on selection look up what the selected item means and handle that
