|
|
I could use some help with locating a pointer (I think) for NCAA 14 on the RPCS3 emulator. In the game, you get a specific number of recruiting points each week. It's shown in game as 0 out of 6,000 used. If you add 100 points to a player, it updates to 100 out of 6,000 used. I'm trying to either increase the 6,000 to an infinite amount or freeze the amount used so that I can add more than 6,000 points each week. I've found the two addresses that correlate with this "X out of.." portion and have tried freezing these values. The in game value is 145 and displays as 131006754 in CE. When I do that, it allows me to add more than 6,000 points but when I skip to the next week, the points were not applied.
I've gone through the tutorials for pointers and am some what familiar with trying to find what to look for. However when I look at what's accessing this, I get the following:
5FD159DE - 4B 8B 14 18 - mov rdx,[r8+r11]
5FD0CDAE - 49 8B 14 10 - mov rdx,[r8+rdx]
5FD2D4D0 - 49 8B 0C 38 - mov rcx,[r8+rdi]
5FD2D4EC - 49 89 0C 38 - mov [r8+rdi],rcx
I'm not sure how to get the offset as I'm not sure how to handle [r8+r11]. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

It would be quite difficult to define the reason why your points were not applied the following week.
If you want to get the address given by "r8 + r11" you can do something like this:
| Code: | alloc(Address, 8)
code:
push eax
lea eax, [r8+r11]
mov [Address], eax
pop eax
mov rdx,[r8+r11] |

I do not have an answer, but I did observe the exact same issue.
My conclusion was that I needed to find what sets the cap, and modify that instead.
Still, editing the points each week is still quite useful for the auto-commit exploit, as you can add, offer scholarhip, and remove ad-nauseum. the 'cap' only applies to the points applied to players that were not committed prior to the week transition.
example:
I'm #1 on 5 candidates and #2 on 10 candidates
I think the point cap is like 6500. I lock it to whatever value I want, then remove and re-add the 5 #1 candidates until I lock them in.
on the remaining 10 candidates, I then spend a total of 6500 points, whichever way I see fit. [I can't max them all, as 700 x 10 = 7000]
I have in my notes that I need to go back and figure out what sets the cap,
I have a plan [in case someone decides to pursue it]
it's obvious that the recruiting cap is based on base value + coach attributes
also, it's obvious that this cap is calculated anew each week transition.
so best way to find the operation that increases the cap is to try to find the modification that occurs when coach attributes alter. this may help to locate the base as well as the coach modification multipliers.
This value appears to evaluated each week transition, based on the coach's recruiting attributes, so the fix would be updating that calculation to either (1) increase the base attribute
(2) increase the bonus for coach attributes
probably have to compare several scenarios:
1 - base coach, no bonus
2 - coach with a +1
3 - coach with a +2
4 - coach with a +3
Then, maybe somewhere in comparing these, can find the base and the operation that augments the base.
