So I recently started to play pokemon Decay, and since it's not a rom hack you can't really use already existing cheat codes, so i used cheat engine, one of the items i wanted is the exp share since in the game it's a normal item instead of a key one, so it can only be given to a pokemon. The problem is that there is only one, and i wanted to change that, to maybe 99, how can i find it's address even if it's one. Does anyone know how can i do that?

Well, if it can be given to a Pokemon, the most obvious method is to exploit the pokemon's inventory.

Give the item to a pokemon. Search for an unknown vaule. Remove the item from pokemon. Search for the value changed. Give the item to a pokemon again. Search for value changed. Remove the item and give a ifferent item. Search for value changed again.

So on. Eventually you should be able to pinpoint the adress which determines the item that pokemon holds and give him another EXP Share.

Once you have 2-3 EXP Shares in the inventory, hacking that one is as straightforward as possible.

I have tried, and i can't get to the end of it, it just goes fast at the start and then it only lowers the addresses by like a 1000 or less, so there is definetly something wrong, or i'm doing something wrong. I might need a better explanation because either it doesn't work or i just can't understand what i should do
