Cheat Engine

Cheat Engine doesn't work at ANYTHING I'm trying to do on Mac, apparently. Let me explain.

For one thing, nobody is even on this forum anymore? I have put in so much work to try and get this to work (8+ hours over the course of 3 days) with no end in sight. I just need help to solve this stupid bug. Is anyone actually here?

I'm trying to solve the admin permissions popup bug that happens any time I try to open Flash player (or anything else, really) via Cheat Engine. Here's what I've done so far (again, all of this over the course of 3 days with ZERO response or help):

1. I looked at the thread with the same title as this one ("Failed to open process. Likely due to lack of admin rights")
2. I followed all the directions DarkByte gave to a T, and while it was able to open Cheat Engine from the root, it still did not solve my problem.
3. I posted to the aforementioned thread asking if I could have any tips on how to fix my problem. After 2 days nobody has responded (0 responses).
4. I posted my problem in the Mac subsection of the forum (0 responses)
5. I posted my problem in the main subsection of the forum (0 responses)
6. I posted in the Reddit thread with my problem (0 responses)
7. I looked at Google searches over and over. The aforementioned thread is the top result, but other than that there were maybe two results and all of them said the exact same thing.
8. I'm making this post as well, in a last-ditch effort to hopefully get some actual help. (since none has come so far despite me doing so much)
9. I looked up dozens of Internet tutorials on how to fix my problem (none of which worked)
10. I looked at this scribd document which says pretty much exactly what DarkByte said on the aforementioned thread (open a Terminal window at Cheat Engine's location, use sudo hasrights on the exact binary filepath for CheatEngine)
11. I looked at someone's Reddit tutorial on how to use Cheat Engine with Flashpoint games (what I'm trying to do), but they completely glossed over the admin permissions problem, not mentioning what to do if that shows up.
12. There were many results I looked at that didn't apply to my problem. There seem to be virtually NO fixes to this other than just doing sudo hasrights, which again DOESN'T WORK.
13. Found out that the process I'm trying to access doesn't even show up anyway. I keep trying to open up Flash Player only because what I'm trying to access ("FlashSA_32_0r0_363") doesn't seem to show up at all on Cheat Engine.

Could someone please answer any of my questions? Is anyone on the forum or the Reddit? Again, I've spent 8+ hours on this. Nobody answers, nobody is here. Could y'all help? Again, like I said, none of the tutorials I've found work. All the posts I see are from 10 years ago. Is anyone still here?

EDIT: turned off SIP and it worked. Why was this so hard
