Okay I'm playing this game which called samurai warriors 2. I want to modify a specific character's moves. I've seen one doing that and i asked him to share yet he refused unfortunately. I asked alot an tried alot. The steps i used are as following:
4 bytes (hex)
Unknown initial value
Unchanged value
And then i preform the move im looking for and and search for changed value
And repeat the same process on on till i a narrowed values yet the one im looking for is not one of em. Is there a wrong step in my method?
Games are not developed in the same fashion. If someone has done something regarding movesets and it worked for him it doesn't mean he can perform it on every game he wants.
That said don't expect someone to give a definitive answer on how to find what you're looking for unless he has done it and remembers it.
Movesets are very hard to track and if you're a beginner that's not where you should be starting. Movesets should be stored in the game and read once you want to execute the move, meaning nothing is changing here. Of course, each game is designed differently but that's generally the case.
