|
|
I have an issue where im trying to launch cheat engine(7.5) 64-bit version, but it won't open or have any visual feedback that it did.
Within the files, I tried to open the different versions:
-Cheat Engine
-Cheat Engine (64-bit SSE4-AVX2)
Cheat Engine (64-bit)
only the "Cheat Engine (32-bit)" version launches without a problem.
additonalTLDR:
I have an extra issue. I've tried to mod Elder Ring by using a cheat table, and I hope the issue will be resolved if the 64-bit version starts working. If I try to load the elder ring table via the 32-bit version, I get an error while trying to enable it, saying "wrong process or eac isn't disabled" despite having anti-cheat disabled.
I tried:
-Reinstalling cheat engine,
-Run as administrator/compatibility mode (windows 8)
-Running .exe tru path on cmd
-Unistall antivirus program + reintsall again
-CCleaner; registry + reinstalling cheat engine again
-DISM scan
-Visual C++ Redistributables + reinstalling cheat engine again
-Boot in safe mode (+disable all non microsoft services)
-System file checker (the; "sfc /scannow")
-Disabling hardware acceleration
-Windowsrepair.exe (in the cheat engine folder)
Here is what I get on the even viewer:
Faulting application name: cheatengine-x86_64-SSE4-AVX2.exe, version: 7.5.0.7431, time stamp: 0x00000000
Faulting module name: cheatengine-x86_64-SSE4-AVX2.exe, version: 7.5.0.7431, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000000000003b01f
Faulting process id: 0x5064
Faulting application start time: 0x01dad8410c4dbc8a
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 7.5\cheatengine-x86_64-SSE4-AVX2.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Cheat Engine 7.5\cheatengine-x86_64-SSE4-AVX2.exe
Report Id: e099b0b7-d53a-4d6d-a3c6-7482c3a1c2a7
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
While getting the event viewer, there are pop-ups, the only difference being between the report and Exception code: 0xc000041d(1- to one up top) and the second one, Exception code: 0xc0000005.
If, this is any help to solve the issue, this is what I have run; "Windows 10, Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.4355)"
P.S. I don't have any idea what this means, so any help is appreciated.
Thank you

You say you've tried installing it and running it multiple different ways, but have you tried compiling it from its source?
There's a YouTube video that shows you how to do this by the channel Swashed, here's the end of the YT link if you want to try doing that (since I cant post links ) :
DQXFrm2R3bQ
The part where he explains how to do it is at roughly 3:40, but I'd first start by completely deleting your non-working copy of Cheat Engine just so you don't get this new version mixed up with your old one
This should hopefully work by creating a fresh copy of the x86 version, and x64 version, and yeah
- reply with questions if need
