How do I cheat?

so, when i open CE through any means, (with administrator, from different locations, etc...) it opens... but doesnt show a window, nor does it show anything but a white box when I open it. I have disabled windows virus protection and firewall, no change, I don't have any other virus protection.

Maybe the window got placed far off screen? If you can't bring it back, try running ceregreset.exe in the main CE directory.

Did you follow Parkourpenguin's advice and open ceregreset.exe which is located in the Cheat Engine root folder. Default location is:

i'm having this issue with specifically the Select Process and Settings windows of cheat engine.
I tried running the ceregreset which does have some effect in that the first time i open one of those windows after running it, the window will appear in the middle of the screen for a single frame then disappear
EDIT: Ok, so i managed to fix the issue by opening regedit and deleting the position entries for the 2 windows manually
