Cheat Engine

This is a wonderfull survivor horror game (in Steam), in the most classical Resident Evil style. Nonetheless, this game has a several issue: it's impossible to hack.
Yes, I admit, I'm new to Cheat Engine and my knowledge is extremely incipient, but I've already tried everything I could to find and modify the values tht ​​I wanted, without success. First, I tried to do that classic search for the exact values tht ​​I would like to modify, in 4 bytes, 2 bytes and byte. I found the values, but when I modified them for the 3rd time, Cheat Engine no longer found them. So, I did the same searches, treating these values ​​as encrypted values, starting the search with an unknown value and increasing and decreasing the value as I changed the value that I wanted to find. I wasn't successful either. So I tried to look for these values ​​as encrypted using the search for all types of values, (including 4big endian and 2 big endian). I wasn't successful either. I don't know what else to do or what I could be doing wrong. If anyone has any suggestions, can give me some ideas, or teach me some other way of scanning values ​​than the one I know, I would like to thank you in advance.
