How do I cheat?

Trying to slow down a game using Cheat Engine, but once I try to enable the Speedhack, an error appears:
"ccode section compilation failed:<string-0>:21:
warning: assignment discards qualifiers from pointer target type
tcc: error: undefined symbol 'getCurrentThreadID' "
I am very new to Cheat Engine, so maybe I am doing something wrong?
