How do I cheat?

| Cheat Engine 7.5 crashes when I use the "add to codelist" feature, it seems that the window itself becomes unresponsive, though it is still updating, I cannot click it, or bring it to focus, it is unusable and stays that way until I close it, this is not related to the game, this is just Cheat Engine it appears, any fix for this?

stop the "find out what" option first and then click "add to codelist"
also, go to settings->debug option, and tick the option to wait a bit after handling debug events. That may prevent the UI from freezing.
Also, make sure that you don't set your update or freeze interval lower than 16 in settings

Any time I do anything with instructions, whether I add, or nop an instruction Cheat Engine becomes unclickable, I know that in a normal circumstance I could just click "Stop" on the debug window, but I cannot click on anything at all, even places I was able to just a few days ago
This feature was working like 2 days ago, I changed nothing about my system, I reinstalled Cheat Engine but its still happening

1) How long do you give him/her to complete a job?
How long does it take to crash if patiently awaited?
2) The CE may freeze while processing too many lines of code, addresses or instructions, but your code may be running in the background. It will take some time to complete.
3) Do you click anywhere in the CE when you give this instruction? Do not trigger the "Not Responding" jam.
These are just ideas. To open the details a little more for the solution.

I would just upload a small clip that I saved, but I can't even put in a link, so....
But this is not related to a "crash" more or less its just the window becomes non-clickable, nothing I do with my mouse is sent to the window, this has never happened before.
The resources needed are little to none, as I am hacking Terraria/AssaultCube, neither of which are detecting the debugger, I have a very hard time finding help for this topic, because every other post is about games using IsDebuggerPresent to crash their own game, but this just Cheat Engine crashing itself when I do anything with instructions
Now I will repeat, the window does not technically crash, it just becomes unusable, I cannot do anything with the window, despite seeing the numbers updating, and my global hotkeys are being detected, but I cannot actually focus into the window or use it for anything other, I cant even close it without using Task Manager or command prompt

I fixed it by reinstalling again, but this time I chose to remove all my settings.
Not sure what went wrong, but the debugger options are working again

Now you need to reload the settings you canceled in a controlled manner and at the same time perform error tests.
So I hope you find the setting causing the error.
