|
|
Hey guys,
I have found an instruction that when i click find out what what addresses this instruction accesses it holds all of the games groundItems within players range.
The instruction is game.exe+165D88 - 4D 8B 95 88000000 - mov r10,[r13+00000088]. The r13+0x88 addresses are the base pointers to the items in the area.
Is there a way in c++ for me to be able to grab these addresses just like cheat engine does? Is my best option to use context.r13 to grab the value from the r13 register?
Or should i jump to a code cave and mov the value from r13 + x88 into a register and then transfer it to a memory address that I can read?"
Or should i try reversing up the code and seeing where the game places the address into r13?
I assume the game uses a linked list, so when i take the item off the ground the data turn into ???? until i drop an item back in the same spot.
I would appreciate any guidance that could help me learn what the most effective way for dealing such a situation would be.
Regards,
