| Hi so the subject says it all. I might be right in assuming that I might need to do lua scripting for this. Not sure. But I really want to know how to do this.

Freeze the memory record and set its value to (Description) where "Description" is the description of the other memory record.

Coming at this two years later... I'm having some difficulty doing this. Has something changed?
I'm playing Final Fantasy II (US, SNES), and there are 5 characters in the party. With regards to the corresponding addresses, my table is set up with addresses categorized under headers as such:
Combat -> Characters -> Character 1 -> Current HP
Combat -> Characters -> Character 1 -> Maximum HP
Combat -> Characters -> Character 2 -> Current HP
Combat -> Characters -> Character 2 -> Maximum HP
etc...
When I try to change the value of Character 1's Current HP to "(Maximum HP)" without the quotations, it doesn't accept it, and just sets to 0 instead. Is this because there are more than 1 type of Maximum HP (per character)? Or does this function no longer work? If the former, how do I set it to the one under the corresponding header?
Sorry if this is confusing to read. Words are hard!

I haven't read CE's source, but I'd imagine CE would search for the first memory record with the description "Maximum HP" and use that.
Try giving unique descriptions for each memory record. Maybe "1 Maximum HP" or something.

| That works, but I'm kind of hoping I'd be able to do it without renaming the descriptions *crosses fingers* :-/

Nope
if you don't want to rename you'll have to go the lua route and use a timer to write the health to the max health using the ID of the record instead of description
