|
When I try to install version 72, the install hangs. When I look using Task Master it shows as not responding. I have the install program in a folder blind to virus checkers etc. I have had no problems in the past installing previous versions of the Cheat Engine, I currently have version 71 installed and am using it. In fact due to having to reinstall Windows back in June (I think), I reinstalled 71 at that time.
Is the problem due to having 71 installed? I did not want to uninstall it in case I can't get version 72 to install, I thought that the newer version would simply replace it. Any help would be welcome, thanks.

is the temp folder also excluded? The installer will extract it's needed components there before it can launch
and disable "reputation based protection" in windows

Disable third party protection? I know a bit about software.. been a tech for 27 years. I am not going to disable that protection for so many reasons. I clearly undersand why you say to do this, and honestly.. the issue is yours to fix when you make your installler. Third party acceptance and all that. not for others to disable a protection that is obvious in its design to do what it does. I am not even going to pretend to entertain your reasons for not making a good installer other than you want people to pay "payrtron" so, please can you come up with a better method than .. disable my third party protection windows defender. seems... fishy you can't or won't fix it. that's my opinion living in the fee world. it's your software.... present it how you wish. I found "other software" that was a bit cleaner and t works the same so you need to do nothing. People can searh when your installer faiuls and find this answer to disbale the protection. But.. understanding what you are actually saying I just found difefrant software that has installers equipped with third party utilization, so windows accpets them. Not C E however.
