So I am trying to replicate this in NFS Carbon with the cheat engine: www[dot]youtube[dot]com/watch?v=Cuq5lZw3auA

However, I have found an Array of bytes:
Code:
CF 3C 2A 3F 41 1C E7 3B 81 B3 5B C1

These values contain the directional accelerations for x, y, and z, however, I can't figure out how I can use the above to instantly boost my car's acceleration in the direction the car is facing.

I would appreciate it if y'all could tell me how I can approach this.

An array of bytes is used to find locations of specific instructions. If you have found the address that holds the instruction which changes your acceleration then you can use the array of bytes to find that location every time you want to play the game. The script you make from the point of aob injection will determine what happens to the value.

If you have the address in the cheat table already, right-click it and select find out what accesses this address. A new window will popup, go in-game and change the value then switch back to Cheat Engine and see what instructions are showing in that window. There may be an add instruction or a sub instruction. It matters not exactly, just select one and click show disassembler. This will be the location in game where the values are manipulated.

I did this and now I have separate addresses for each of the x,y, and z acceleration directions, but how do I figure what values of each would make my car move forwards? Cause too much of either and my car slams to the side walls or starts flying vertically up.

You have to have some understanding of 3D space.

Y is usually used for forward/backward movement, X is usually used for side movement, and Z is depth.

I understand that, but when I changed the values, I realised what I've found is not the local XYZ of the car itself, but the map's North,East, and Vertical. So regardless of where I am, changing the values causes the car to drift towards one of the directions regardless of the car's orientation. I.e. If my car is facing west, changing the East value instantly flings my car backwards instead of just moving it to its side cause the value points to the map's eastern side instead of the car's.

So I've probably found the wrong values. So I'm kinda back to square 1 lol
